Paper Artsy first challenge of 2017

The first challenge from Paper Artsy is to use Pink & Orange, now I love a good clashing colour, so decided to add a page to my journal.

First I added Rose, Bubblegum and Orchid fresco paints, then as all my oranges were transluscent I added Tango and Smoked Paprika on top. I then laid a light pink through Lins seed head stencil.

Once the paint was dry I decided to grunge it up a bit with some infusions. Then I didnt know where to go with the page. So I decided to add some more depth using stamps from ELB30, using DI in picked raspberry and spiced marmalade. I used some irredescent paint in pinks and oranges to add lines and circles to the background. Some random black stamping of stars.

I loved Lins seed head so much I decided to bring it to the foreground as well in black, and then added the word Flower using Everything Arts new alphabet stamp. I finished off by using a wink of stella to highlight the flower heads and the stars.  a few more lines of pale pink and a scribble line around the edges and I was done.

Not what I had imagined I would produce when I started, but I love the grungy effect the infusions bought to the clash of pink and orange.
