Paula has an article in May 2013 Craft Stamper, (page 62) called Distress to Impress, Just add Water. I thought it was just so simple and effective, so decided to see if I could manage to create the same effect. I used Pickled Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and bundled Sage for my three colours. Below are the six cards I made from one A4 sheet of paper.
I went with Stampotique images, which I think work really well. The cards aren't quite finished because despite searching high and low, it seems I dreamt buying ChitChat stickers, and didnt actually have them. Might have been one of those shopping baskets I filled and then had a moment of sense and didnt buy. ( I know it happens to us all, very very occasionally. LOL). Anyway they are now on order so I will be able to finish these cards off.
I have now created a new piece of A4 card using this technique and will be making cards with it soon.
I also used a stampotique stamp recently for my niece Seoana, who went skiing for the first time and had a particularly nasty accident on her last run, oops.
warning below are some images she has posted on facebook
nasty aye, a compound fracture of both her tibia and fibia. She is particularly frustrated that she is off her feet for 5 more weeks and cant go to work, she recently graduated and got a job with a Magazine Company and helped launch their new magazine Homemaker as Editorial assistant and she is loving it. I was hoping to meet up with her at Ally pally next week, but perhaps I will meet up with some of you instead, I am going on Sunday as at work on Saturday.
Cant wait for the spending spree, bring it on....
