Playing with Metal

This is my first attempt using my new stash from Ten Second Studio, bought a book and decided this time to actually follow the instructions, rather that just go off on a tangent and wonder why its all gone wrong. I am really pleased with this sign I have made for my craft area, had a bit of a problem with the puffing, as once I did that all the detail had disappeared, so had to re do the detail, which didn't help with the look of the puffing, but for a first go I am really pleased. I think my house might soon be covered in my metal effect work, LOL.

Bought all my stash from LB Crafts, a lovely shop full of loverley craftey stuff, aah bliss,

think I have managed a link, will I never stop amazing myself., have to edit as I ahvent amazed myself, link isnt there, boo hoo, try going to lbcrafts.co.uk, LOL

Christmas is coming . . . . .

Hello all, sorry its been a while but the dreaded christmas cards needed doing, once started I couldnt stop because I would never go back to them, come to hate doing xmas cards which is silly really, being a crafter and cardmaker, but ATC's are what I enjoy and I felt cheated not being able to do what I wanted.
It is that time of year though isn't it when crafting has to take a back seat cos there's so much to do, haven't bought the kids any presents yet and OH is starting to get panicky, so on the net tonight doing some ordering for them and then off to the shops tomorrow for the rest of the stuff. My xmas present has been ordered and delivered, it's a melting pot, I can't wait for xmas so that I can have a play with it.
I've also been buying up the Ten Second Studio stuff for metal work from LB Crafts, its been my reward to me for making xmas cards, LOL, and am in the midst of my first go at it, will post on here when I've finished.
Attached are two ATC's I made this week using some images from the net, hope you like them, speak again soon, Siobhan :)

oh going back to the title, house opposite has put their xmas decs up, they dont tend to use the less is more maxim on the decorating. We have a giant blow up Tigger and Bart Simpson (up to the upstairs windows), lights galore, a life size father xmas that turns it's head and watches you as you go past, creepy, and the worst of all a musical decoration that they forget to turn off at nightime, now I am no baah humbug I love the decs, but this is so over the top it's laughable, they actually tried to sell it one year over xmas, didn't sell funnily enough, Ah well enough now, I'm off to pop Tigger under cover of darkness, hehehehe

Jam Sandwich swap thingymajig !!!!

Along with Flippin Pest and RustyCage, who invented the afore mentioned swap, we had to all think of a theme, then each of us had to make one of each theme for each of the other participants, we even arranged to post them all on the same day, original end date was mid Dec, but once we started there was no stopping us. Cambridge post office came out on tops as got them the next day even with a 2nd class stamp, kent and scotland lagged behind by one day. But now we have all got them we can post them for all to see and comment on. Rusty came up with Diamonds, which I really struggled with, I chose letters which in which i had great fun with newspapers, pva and chipboard, Flippin Pest chose Shakespeare which involved a bit of googling, printed off loads of different images and hardly used any of them, but there we go, can always use them another day, anyway hope you enjoy looking at these, if you go on Rusty and Flippin Pests sites you can check out theirs (links to the left).

Some new work

Hi everyone, well here I am again, had a busy week last week making atc's for a swap I'm involved in with Rusty & Flippin Pest, it was great fun and we are sending them out to each other this week, then we will be able to load them up for all to see. But now thats finished I could have a play with some of my new crafting goodies, I treated myself to some new stamps from Artist Trading Post and some metal relief stuff from LB Crafts, treat is a wierd word cos I tend to buy something at least once if not twice a week, but arent we all the same, quite happy not to spend my money on anything else as long as I can buy paper and things I am a happy bunny.

Hope you like what you see, all are available to trade, I'll put them on my flickr album, just contact me if you would like to trade any.

This week just gone I was lucky enough to be nominated by MayJay and June Mac for a fave blog award, my first I was very chuffed, between the two of them they have nominated virtually all the blogs I know, so unable to pass on at the moment, until Ive done some more exploring. Oh and a quick sorry to all, that the page keeps on changing, but I am learning more all the time.

Right rest of this week is dedicated to making my christmas cards so they are done and out of the way, hope you are all OK, speak later, Siobhan

hello all my friends, hope your weekend is going well, I worked yesterday till 3.30, then got home and decided to tidy up and move around my craft area, two reasons, most of my stuff is up against the radiator, so A, no heat in room and B, all craft stuff getting heated up. not the best idea in the world.
So now sitting in warm and tidy craft area, yee hah, I made these ATC this week I was playing about with glimmer mists and timholtz letter masks, I'm really pleased with them, they are available for swapping if I can let go, Autumn is my fave, whats yours!!!
Right time for lunch then creative time after lunch, speak soon, Siobhan :)

Good evening to everyone of my loyal three followers, LOL, only joking.

Had a week off this week, thought I would have plenty of time to craft, but time disappeared as usual too quickly. Was gonna spend some time getting to grips with my CraftRobo and Design Master, but everywhere I looked for help I had to register which was taking forever so gave up, good news is decided to watch my Tim Holtz DVD and then play with some aluminium foil and alcohol inks instead, the results are up above, I was quite pleased with them, no I was really pleased with the results, the above are available if anyone would like to swap, just let me know.

So back to work on Monday, with a six day week and my manager off so I'll be in charge, nothing like a nice easy ride.LOL

Made my first christmas cards this week, for the Support our Soldiers appeal on Trimcraft, am not gonna make loads this year just for close family and friends, perhaps if I didnt have to work Id have time to make more.

Anyway Im gonna love you and leave you, have a great week.

Well hello all, hope you are all doing great I hope, writing this whilst watching J Ross and lusting after the gorgeous bad boy Colin Farrell, in fact finding it hard to concentrate on writing this at all, ok i'll stop and lust, back in a mo.......

Right I'm back now, Claudia Winklemans on, can listen don't need to watch. Had today off and after doing some housework to avoid feelings of guilt got the pva, acrylics, alcohol ink and glitter out had great fun, waiting for it all to dry then shall have a further play, though have to do garden tomorrow for the winter as its looking fairly tatty, so lots of chopping and pruning and then hopefully that will be it, except for when the leaves all fall off, then I shall have to tidy them up, I only do it once mind, wait until the last leaf drops.

Right heres a few more of my ATC's all available to swap, hope you like. Have a great weekend.

OMG it's Monday !!!

I seem to have lost my creative mojo at the moment so now sitting in very tidy craft area, as only managed to tidy this weekend, looks lovely and tidy and all my stash is lovely but I need to start using it, really need to spend less time on the WWW talking about crafting and actually do some crafting.

How many other people struggle with that, have been going onto Trimcraft website which funded my addiction to ATC's, but it seems a bit off at the moment, so may restrict my time on that, concentrate on my Blog and actually being creative.

So no work to post this week, but I have got some new PaperArtsy stamps so shall have a play with them and see what I can produce.

Bad news this week is I'm on a six day week, which I hate doing, but my company wont give you a day off for Saturday, until you've actually worked it, grrr humbugs! It's cos some people specialised in having their day off and then being sick on Saturday.

It's also my eldest's 15th birthday this week, so have got to sort that all out, its a never ending list of things I need to do, havent even thought about xmas, neither cards or pressies, but shall have to do some xmas stuff soon otherwise it will all just be a mad rush to get things done. The only good thing was last year at Christmas we were on a very restricted budget and it actually was less stressful, as couldn't keep buying things cos eldest would love it and then having to even up by buying youngest something else and so on and so on, woudl reccomend that to anyone and we had a lovely day.

Right gonna sign off now and see what creative juice i can summon up. BFN

Well hello and welcome to what I hope will be a fruitful and lasting relationship.

I am very new to this so please forgive me any mistakes I make. I will be using this blog to share my ATC's with other crafters and will be happy to arrange swaps. I only got into ATC's this year when I joined the Trimcraft website and found the only way to aquire the miniature works of art was to make them myself for swapping. I now have over 180 swapped ATC's of all varieties, I am however looking for new challenges to stretch myself and hope that by doing this blog I can open myself up to other crafters and their art.

Hope that all makes sense, Im gonna try and load some photo's now, if there are none here then obviously I havent got the fine art of Blogging sorted yet. LOL
Yea Ive done it , this is called Black Magic - Starberry, one of my most recent ATC's and is already swapped, I will try to get some made that are just for this site.
Right I'm off to publicise my new skill.
